The Szent István University of Gastronomy and Tourism is the training centre for the dual degree in Tourism and Catering
Brief introduction of the training form and its significance:
Tourism is a highly practice-oriented sector of the national economy, which is why it is of paramount importance that students acquire practical knowledge in addition to theoretical knowledge during their higher education studies. Communication with guests, specific operational and management tasks, marketing and management issues can be learned primarily in a real working environment. The time spent in the traineeship also gives the trainees the opportunity to learn about the guest population and guest habits in the course of their daily work, which is not possible from textbooks. The trainees will be involved step by step in the daily life of the traineeship as young colleagues. The parallel theoretical and practical training, the professional socialisation of the students in a market environment, in a company working environment, provides the opportunity to develop a system of values, to gain experience in teamwork, in cooperation with colleagues, to take responsibility, to build professional and human relations.
The launch of the Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Catering at Szent István University was welcomed by our company and we were happy to join. We consider dual training to be very important and the University to be an experienced, reliable partner committed to education. In our opinion, this form of training encompasses all the arguments of a trainee-oriented manager, including the possibility of selecting future employees.

- A notification of the interview date will be sent to the e-mail address provided on the CV, and is expected to take place between 1 and 15 June 2024.
- You will be informed of the result of the selection process within 15 days of the interview, but no later than 30 June 2024 by means of a written notification sent to the address (postal address) indicated on your CV.
Criteria considered in the selection process:
In order to be successful in the field of tourism and catering, you need to have a wide range of competences in addition to the knowledge of the subject and the local area, as well as language skills. Therefore, during the interview, we also look for the candidate's personality, general intelligence, interpersonal and communication skills, interest and motivation, problem-solving skills and creativity.
